MGI Australian Family and Private Business Survey 2010

Family and privately owned business represent around 97% of businesses in Australia and employ the majority of the Australian workforce.

The Australasian survey of family businesses has been undertaken and reported on by Dr Kosmas Smyrnios (RMIT University, Melbourne) since the early 1990’s.

The value of The MGI Australian Family and Private Business Survey 2010 in providing an insight into the current motivators of Australian family and privately owned businesses cannot be underestimated. The MGI Australian Family and Private Business Survey 2010, as well as others in the series, have made an important contribution to the body of knowledge about factors affecting, not only family businesses, but also non-family private firms.

MGI has been involved with the longitudinal study since 2003 and is again proud, in 2010, to be a sponsor of the MGI Australian Family and Private Business Survey.
